Tyre Rotation
Tyre Rotation is the process of periodically moving your tyres from one axle to the other (in pairs) beacuse steering and braking naturally creates stress on the front two tyres, the tread wears away more quickly. By routinely repositioning your tyres, you can maintain even tread wear and improve control over your vehicle in wet conditions. Rotation also gives you a chance to visually inspect your tyres for damage.
Locking Wheel Nut Removal
Locking wheel nuts, lug nuts or alloy wheel nuts as they are also known, keep your wheels safely secured to your car. In most cases a wheel nut can be comfortably removed however, on the rare occasion that a wheel nut has become badly corroded or damaged beyond repair the vehicle may need to be referred to have the locking nuts drilled out.
This is where we can help. Our professionals can quickly remove any type of locking nut from your vehicle without causing damage to your wheels.
Tyre Pressure Monitoring Service (TPMS)
A tyre Pressure monitoring system (TPMS) is to warn you when at least one of your tyres is under-inflated. A sensor valve fitted to each wheel alerts low tyre pressures changes in temperature and imbalances to the driver via a dashboard symbol resembles a horseshoe with an exclamation mark in the centre. This allows any problem to be addressed straight away which could help prevent unsafe driving conditions.
If your vehicle has a TPMS, its important to service your tyre valve everytime your tyres are changed to ensure the entire TPMS lasts its full expected lifetime of around seven years.
Some cars manufacturers, have provided TPMS for a long time, but cars made after 2014 have a TPMS integrated as a standard feature, in compliance with EU safety regulations. if your TPMS sensor is faulty and your tyre pressure light is showing, it can result in an MOT test.
